Jake The Flake
Jaqualeon Hudson, better known by his stage name Jake The Flake is a hip-hop/rap artist from Flint, Michigan. He is affiliated with Skanbino Mob and The Dayton Family. His major influences were Geto Boys, Scarface, The D.O.C., Kool G Rap, E-40 and Ice Cube.
He came out in 1993 with a six song EP titled, "Out 2 Get Rich". Then he moved to California and recorded an album with producer DJ Battlecat titled, "Ghetto Jam", which was never officially released. In 1995, he released the single, "I Don't Need Sh*t" in association with Warlock Records. In November 1996, he put together a compilation album titled, "Flint Thug Compilation" and in May 1997 he negotiated a distribution deal with Atlanta-based hip-hop label Power Records. Jake The Flake re-released the compilation in 1998 under the name "Jake The Flake & The Flint Thugs" and with four additional songs included.
His latest album album to date, "Mr. Jakafella Vol. 1" was released in 1999 on his independent label Flint Thug Records.
